This week alone, Trump has promoted billions of dollars in proposed investments in Alaska and Iowa, redirected $20 million in Department of Homeland Security funding toward government-paid television advertising, and begun sending $500 checks to roughly 1 million people the administration says were overcharged for Affordable Care Act coverage under former President Joe Biden.
