Donald Trump gets in on ‘Pokemon Go’ craze, because everything is awful

We already had to deal with Hillary Clinton’s pathetic attempts to connect using the popular phone game “Pokemon Go,” but now Donald Trump has offered his own embarrassing attempt.

Trump posted a short video on his Facebook page late Thursday afternoon that showed a fake app game similar to “Pokemon Go” called “Crooked Hillary No.” “Crooked Hillary” is Trump’s pet name for Clinton.

The video shows a photo of Clinton getting trapped by a pokeball (a device used to catch Pokemon). While Pokemon Go does not include short descriptions of captured pokemon, Trump’s video includes one for Clinton.

“Often found lying to the American people, rigging the system and sharing TOP SECRET emails,” the description reads (emphasis original).

There are different types of Pokemon (fire, water, grass, etc.), and Trump’s fake game describes Clinton as a “career politician” type. In place of hit points, it says: “30,000 emails deleted.” Many Pokemon “evolve” into other Pokemon through various means, and the Trump video explains Clinton’s next evolution as “unemployed.”

The graphics are simplistic, the descriptions are clunky, and politicians need to stop trying to connect using pop culture. But this is 2016 and everything is terrible.
