Someone at CBS has a serious case of 1990s nostalgia.
Two-time losing presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a cameo appearance during the Thursday premiere episode of the “Murphy Brown” reboot no one asked for.

It was a good reminder that we don’t need reboots. It was also a good reminder that comedy isn’t Clinton’s strong suit.
Perhaps the best (worst?) moment in Clinton’s appearance was when both she and actress Candice Bergen yucked it up over the former secretary of state’s unauthorized use of a private email server (i.e., the thing that the FBI characterized as “extremely careless”) when she worked the top spot at Foggy Bottom.
At least we can laugh about it now!
It was the worst political cameo since then-Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill, D-Mass., appeared in 1983 on “Cheers.”
Former President Bill Clinton’s campaign theme song in 1992 was the awful “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow” by the equally awful Fleetwood Mac. Hillary Clinton’s train of sycophantic acolytes would do well to take the lyrics both literally and seriously.
