The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake admits no Republican of consequence has endorsed plans to impeach the president. Nonetheless, wild speculating on the matter is still a “totally valid topic.”

Blake even acknowledges that barring a major new development, impeachment “just won’t happen.” Still, it’s a perfectly valid pretext for attacking Republicans. Would that the Post held all legislators to a vigorous standard.
