Why wild boars are worth hunting

On Friday, Germany was invaded when two Wild Boars entered the town of Heide.

Running around in a bank, the boars caused one person to lose part of a finger and another individual to suffer a wounded leg. While one of the boars escaped into a nearby forest, the other was shot and killed by a rifle-wielding samaritan.

I have just two thoughts on this incident.

First, wild boars are worthy of being hunted and more Germans should do so. Abundant in population stocks and destructive in their impact on farming, wild boars are also powerful animals which pose a challenge for most hunters. This joining of sustainability to an enjoyable hunting experience is one that few animals can offer.

Second, although attention must be given towards mitigating the risk of disease, wild boars can make a quite delectable meal. As Gordon Ramsay explains here.
