Wendy Davis late-term abortion celebrations sparsely attended across Texas

Wendy Davis wanted to celebrate the anniversary of her late-term abortion filibuster on Wednesday – she even avoided the word “abortion” in promotions and offered free tickets to fill seats.

But all the word hiding in the world can’t put butts in seats, apparently. While the main event in Austin, Texas, was well attended (thanks to those free tickets), events across Texas looked more post-apocalyptic than celebratory.
