Rep. Marlin Stutzman, a farmer, blasts the farm bill

Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., blasted the farm bill on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday just before the House voted to pass it, lamenting that the Senate removed most of the reforms passed by the House.

“Together, we defeated business as usual by passing the first farm-only farm bill in nearly 40 years,” he said, referring to the original House version of the legislation. “Business as usual fought back and here we are today.”
