A poll by Pew Research Center revealed that 73% of people are against colleges using race or ethnicity in the admissions process. In 2016, Gallup reported that 70%, including 50% of black people, believe colleges should use merit, not race or ethnicity, when considering college admission.
Despite this, the Biden administration is asking the Supreme Court to reject a case brought to stop anti-Asian discrimination, Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College.
