Democrat Stephen Lynch got COVID-19. What did he do wrong?

Another House Democrat, the eighth in about a month, has tested positive for the new coronavirus. With this outbreak among Democrats, it really starts to raise questions about what they’re doing wrong and if they’re putting the health of others at risk with their negligence.

A spokesperson for Massachusetts Rep. Stephen Lynch said Saturday that despite having received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine, the congressman had tested positive for the virus. A staffer in Lynch’s Boston office had previously received a positive result as well.

Gosh, I hate to blame anyone for catching a deadly disease, but what were they doing wrong? Were the congressman and his staffer not wearing their masks? Maybe they should have worn two.

In recent weeks, Democratic Reps. Pramila Jayapal of Washington, Bonnie Watson Coleman of New Jersey, and Brad Schneider of Illinois have all tested positive for COVID-19, and each of them blamed their Republican colleagues for their infections despite having no evidence of where they got it.

As of now, by NPR’s count, there are more Democrats than Republicans who have caught the virus within the month of January.

Why aren’t they following the science?
