Republicans shouldn’t remove Liz Cheney

Many members of the House Republican caucus are reportedly at odds with their conference chairwoman, Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney. But ousting Cheney would be a mistake. It would be no different than those on the Left who seek to cancel and ostracize dissent.

This isn’t to say that Cheney is perfect. Having survived a House GOP vote in February to oust her from the leadership role, Cheney would be wise to stop giving oxygen to former President Donald Trump. Instead, she should be more proactive in “strongly” opposing President Joe Biden’s policies.
