Former President Donald Trump was beloved by his supporters for standing up to his political opponents and not backing down against attacks or criticism. His penchant to, as many said, “take no crap” from anyone was a welcomed relief to many GOP voters. It was a characteristic that many had been searching for in a Republican for decades.
