Trump is impeached for life for being pro-life

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said of President Trump on ABC’s This Week, “This president is impeached for life,” immediately causing #ImpeachedForLife to trend on Twitter.

I rarely agree with Pelosi. However, in this case, I think she is 100% correct. This president was impeached for “life,” or, to put it more clearly, he was impeached because he is pro-life.

Just reflect at the lengths in which Democrats tried to smear Justice Brett Kavanaugh. They took advantage of a reckoning happening in the media and the entertainment industries to try and pin the flimsiest and unbelievable sexual assault claims on a man who had absolutely no history of predation and spends his weekends feeding the homeless. A more believable story: They made up a smear to prevent his confirmation because they were terrified of a Supreme Court justice who may take the words enshrined in the Declaration of Independence literally: that all men are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The Democratic case for impeaching Trump was weak, too. From the beginning, the Left, upset over losing the election in 2016, has turned what is supposed to be a constitutional impeachment process into a political game more resembling Mad Libs for mad liberals. Immediately after his inauguration, the Independent and the Washington Post each reported on efforts already underway to impeach Trump, and the Democratic Party has played along, just waiting, fill-in-the-blanks style, until they could come up with something that would please their angry base.

This president is an easy target for these establishment liberals for the same reason he is popular in other parts of the country, also known as the real world. He bucks the system by ignoring how things “have always been done” and instead tries to fix problems with common sense. So, after failing to defeat Trump at the ballot box or in the policy arena, Democrats turned to the playbook the establishment in Washington has lived by since its creation: smearing your opponent.

His efforts on the life issue alone are reason enough for the pro-abortionists in the Democratic Party to look for ways to remove him from office.

In his first month, he reinstated the “Mexico City policy” to end federal funding of foreign nongovernmental organizations providing family planning abroad if they perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning. Trump has been able to confirm 187 federal judges and climbing who will uphold the Constitution, including two justices to the Supreme Court. In addition, he has placed pro-life personnel throughout his administration, including in key roles.

While other presidents have promised they would stop organizations such as abortion giant Planned Parenthood from getting tax dollars to subsidize their abortion activities, this president actually did it. He rewrote Title X family planning grants so that they would return to the program’s original intent, to support family planning as opposed to the destruction of the unborn. Further, Trump has allowed states to defund the abortion industry as well.

Trump has also gone out of his way to protect conscience rights by issuing final rules protecting religious orders, pro-life organizations, and others that have religious or moral objections to providing coverage for contraceptives that cause early abortions in their health insurance plans. This is a welcome change from President Barack Obama’s efforts to bankrupt nuns or have them thrown in jail. And, for the record, not one of the candidates running against Trump has disavowed Obama’s attacks on religious liberty.

Trump has also championed ending inhumane human fetal tissue research, supported pro-life legislation in Congress, highlighted dangers to the unborn in Obamacare, and fought pro-abortion forces at the United Nations.

So, yes, Pelosi is correct that Trump was impeached for life because his pro-life credentials so inflamed Democrats that they would grasp at anything they could to impeach him. Trump is likely proud of it. If that is a badge he must carry, I am happy to carry it as well. Consider me also impeached for life!
