Several years ago, the country was in uproar over the removal of statues of people affiliated with the Confederacy. The country’s social justice overlords told us this removal was necessary because the presence of these molded pieces of metal reinforced white supremacy. And because of systemic white guilt from decades of brainwashing in the nation’s public school system, or out of fear of being branded a racist if one objected, most people agreed with removing the statues.

Yet, while liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left claimed they were only removing statues specifically because of their connection to slavery, it was all a ruse meant to set precedents for future actions. These claims were not grounded in reality but were instead meticulously organized to launch an all-out assault to delegitimize Western civilization and remove prominent white people from history. Subtraction and destruction are at the true core of the Left’s support for diversity and inclusion. Every logical and rational person knew the statue removals would not stop with Confederate monuments.
