In her memoir, Hard Choices, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton included a chapter on the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012. But she failed to specifically explain why Ambassador Chris Stevens was there that day.
“U.S. ambassadors are not required to consult or seek approval from Washington, when traveling within their countries, and rarely do,” she wrote.
