Truth, justice, and the American way. That’s what Superman originally stood for, and that’s what people loved about the iconic comic book character. But we live in a different era nowadays. Radical, toxic, left-wing propaganda is all the craze. So, when the news broke that a version of Superman was going to be bisexual in a new comic book, Superman: Son of Kal-El, it caused quite a stir. That controversy didn’t transfer over into profitability, however.
DC Comics announced it would no longer be printing the bisexual Superman comic due to low readership, the Washington Examiner reported. While it may break the heart of every left-wing and LGBT fanatic, it turns out people don’t want Superman to be bisexual.
GO WOKE, GO BROKE: DC’S GAY SUPERMAN CANCELED AFTER 18 ISSUES AND POOR SALES
“I’m not surprised it was canceled,” Dean Cain, the actor who played the comic book hero in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, told me. “Changing a beloved existing character is rarely a good idea, and the market made that point quite clearly.”
Changing characters and molding them to fit into the Left’s cultural agenda is, unfortunately, a recurring theme. Numerous iterations of beloved fictional characters have been changed to adhere to the Left’s cultural standards of diversity and inclusion. More often than not, their revision includes a strict allegiance to left-wing political orthodoxy.

“Creating a NEW character might be a better idea in the future,” Cain said. “I have ZERO issue with a gay or bisexual superhero, I just don’t like radically changing one that’s well-established.”
Cain is right, of course. However, it is exactly why the Left tries to do these things. It knows the power of propaganda in the culture and targets it as a means to advance its agenda. In this case, it was not successful. However, the Left will undoubtedly try again in the future. Liberals know that if they can shape the culture, they can eventually change the laws and ultimately mold society into the left-wing utopia they desperately desire.
“I expect that folks will try and change Superman again in the future. If they try and follow the latest fad or zeitgeist, I don’t think it will work,” Cain said. “I prefer Clark Kent and Superman representing small-town American values, being kind and generous and humble, protecting freedom, loving Lois Lane, and fighting for truth, justice, and the American Way.”
Just like Superman, the United States is a beacon of light in an otherwise dark world. It might be a foreign concept in the 21st century after decades of left-wing brainwashing, but the core tenets that made the original Superman great are things that we all should strive for. Dean Cain prefers it, so do I, and so should everyone in America.
Superman is known as the Man of Steel because steel is close to indestructible. So, too, should be the values that the superhero and the U.S. represent. It’s what separates our country from the evil in the world. The American Way represents values that are resolute. Just like steel, those values are strong, firm, durable, and made to last.
