According to Gallup, 79% of Republicans are pleased with Trump as the GOP’s nominee for president, but only 42% of Democrats are content with Biden as their nominee. To put that into perspective, 64% of Democrats were satisfied with Hillary Clinton in 2016 and 84% were happy with Barack Obama in 2012. Furthermore, more than half of Democrats say that they would prefer another candidate, suggesting that many on the Left are still holding out hope for a last-minute surprise at the Democratic National Convention in August.
