For years, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been the darling of liberals and Democrats as an agency that supposedly identified and fought against racism and white supremacy. Founded initially as a law firm in 1971 to combat discrimination and to allegedly make certain that the “civil rights movement became a reality for all,” it has morphed into a weaponized agency that targets any group, institution, or organization with differing or opposing viewpoints. It more resembles the Soviet Union’s Cheka than a protector of our nation’s constitutional liberties.
Last week, the radical left-wing political syndicate broke out its sickle and hammer to go after Turning Point USA, an organization that has promoted and advanced conservative Republican cultural ideals among the nation’s youth in the country’s high schools, colleges, and universities. It listed Turning Point in its “2024 Year in Hate and Extremism Report,” claiming the group was linked to “hard-right extremists” and promotes “Christian nationalism.” The SPLC also asserted that Turning Point helped “enforce a social order rooted in white supremacy.”
