It was obvious when the Supreme Court announced its decision on partisan gerrymandering Thursday that Democrats would take the excuse to keep complaining that Republican electoral victories are by definition illegitimate.

A few hours after the court’s decision was announced, 2020 Democratic primary candidate Seth Moulton proved that this is exactly what Democrats plan to do when he claimed gerrymandering had cost his party several elections, including the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial race.
