Obama rolls out new jobs strategy

President Obama rolled out a proposal on Monday to train 10,000 new engineers annually through a privately funded program.

“Today, with the leadership of the jobs council, we’re announcing an all-hands-on-deck strategy to train 10,000 new American engineers every year,” Obama said Monday during a trip to North Carolina, which has the 10th highest unemployment rate in the country. Obama was quick to point out that the plan would not cost taxpayers.
