Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., will return to her Waterloo birthplace for a GOP fundraiser on Sunday, her campaign announced today. The scheduling move will put her in a room with Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, who is expected to announce informally his presidential run at an event in South Carolina. Both Bachmann and Perry are scheduled to speak at the event.

Bachmann, apparently, doesn’t want to let Perry crowd her out of the conservative spotlight in her own hometown. It should be fun to hear their (dueling?) speeches.
