5) He’s Pro-life
In May, Texas Governor Rick Perry Thursday signed into law a measure requiring women seeking an abortion in the state to first get a sonogram. Perry said the sonogram bill and other state efforts to limit access to abortion are essential to help women “before they make the biggest mistake of their lives.”
4) He called Social Security a “Ponzi Scheme”
Just last week, Perry had this to say about Social Security, which is a liberal sacred cow.
3) Glenn Beck likes him:
After Tea Party challenger Debra Medina revealed herself as a 9/11 truther, Beck reportedly said, “Rick, I think you and I could French kiss right now,”
Glenn Beck also fawned over Perry’s record as a job creator hosting him as a special guest as he counted down to the end of his show at Fox News.
2) Perry entertained the idea of secession
It’s a brilliant political move in Texas to ‘consider‘ secession, but that kind of rhetoric was seen by liberals as dangerous Tea Party radicalism.
I’ll leave to Keith Olbermann to demonstrate.
1) He reminds them of George W. Bush
That accent! He’s a cowboy! He’s the new W!
Perry is a rugged individual with a Texas twang, reminding liberals of everything they hated about George W. Bush.
Supporters would say that Perry is a real Texan unlike ivy league carpetbagger George W. Bush.
Both reportedly partied hard and pulled pranks and got less than impressive grades in college, it won’t be long before videos comparing their similarities surface online.
Will the Saturday Night Live season premiere feature Will Ferrel as Rick Perry?
