Pawlenty on Obama: ‘You could stick a fork in him’

GRINNELL, Iowa — Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty says Obama is “done.”

“Barack Obama, politically I think is — you could stick a fork in him — I think he’s done,” Pawlenty told voters in Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday. “We should be talking about the post-Obama era now.”

Roughly three-dozen voters gathered inside the newly-opened Republican party headquarters in the tiny farming town of Grinnell to hear Pawlenty speak.

“The main way we’re gonna goof this up as Republicans is to nominate the wrong candidate, because the election is not going to be about Barack Obama,” Pawlenty said, as he assured voters that he’s the best-qualified guy to fill that role. “[Obama] is going to try to make [the election] about whoever our candidate is, and we need to make sure we’ve got a candidate who has the experience, the record and the sturdiness, so they can’t turn that on it’s head.”
