You can visit Hillary Clinton’s website to see all the Democratic presidential candidates’ latest events — and a fact check of her “campaign reset” by a conservative political action committee.
America Rising’s planned fact check of Clinton’s Saturday campaign speech in New York City was highlighted among other Hillary-related events on the candidate’s official website. The Roosevelt Island speech is the Democratic frontrunner’s first public rally and is seen as a sort of reboot after several of her would-be Republican opponents launched their campaigns with elaborate events.
“Hillary Clinton is resetting her campaign,” the event posting on Clinton’s website reads. “We’re here to fact-check. Watch our twitter on Saturday, and you can see us fact-checking her reset live!”
The page linked to America Rising’s Twitter feed and a video critical of Clinton produced by the conservative PAC.
“No need to RSVP!” the post concluded.
America’s Rising was founded in 2013 by former Mitt Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades to do opposition research on Democrats. “Throughout the duration of her campaign, America Rising will hold Secretary Clinton and her agenda accountable,” Rhoades said in a statement when the former secretary of state first declared her White House.
Update: The post highlighting the America Rising event has since been taken down.
