Rick Perry appeared this morning on the ‘Today’ show to address his ‘oops’ moment during the CNBC debate last night.
“I think I’m kind of like most Americans and there are so many agencies of government out there we’d like to forget that the Department of Energy was one of those.” Perry said, “But, you know, seriously, the issue wasn’t about whether I can sing off a line of a number of agencies.”

Perry reminded the audience that today is the 236th birthday of the Marine Corp.
“If there was a day that — to stay in the fight, this is it. So you bet I’m going to continue on.” he said, “This campaign is about ideas not about if anyone has made a mistake or not. We’re all going to make mistakes.”
On ‘Good Morning America,’ Perry added, “The bottom line is that we’re going to get up every day and talk to the American people and they know that there is not a perfect candidate that’s made yet.”
