DOL kills photo with Obama campaign button

A photo posted on the official U.S. Department of Labor Flickr site featuring an individual wearing an Obama for president campaign button should not have been placed there and has now been removed.

“This photograph should not have been posted, and the photo is not of a Department of Labor employee. It has been removed,” DOL spokesman Jennifer Kaplan told The Washington Examiner this afternoon.

The photo was highlighted in this space yesterday. It had been placed on the Flickr page as one of several concerning Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis’ participation in a civil rights movement commemoration of the Selma-to-Montgomery march in 1965.
