Last night, Jon Stewart vowed on the Daily Show to end jokes referring to Santorum’s Google results, a sneering frat joke that has escalated since Stewart highlighted the vulgar results for Santorum’s name in May.

“We’re never going to do them again no matter how tempting it might be to use some of them.” Stewart said, pretending to shred a stack of jokes.

“The bit has run its course, Stewart admitted, “From here on out, I will only ridicule Rick Santorum for his absolutely absurd and sometimes vile social and political views.”

During the show, Stewart highlighted elements of Santorum’s blue collar speech in Iowa, joking that he was the politician that, “Mitt Romney wanted to be.”
