Ron Paul polling last in Nevada

Ron Paul may have left Florida early to campaign in Nevada, but a 8 News Now/Las Vegas Review-Journal poll of the state is showing that he is placing last in the four-way race.

Here is how it stacks up:

Romney: 44.5 percent

Gingrich: 24.2 percent

Santorum: 10.9 percent

Ron Paul: 9.1 percent

Paul is well within the margin of error of Santorum, but these numbers show that Gingrich will be more competitive than John McCain was in 2008.

Nevada is also a caucus state, where Paul argues, an “enthusiastic minority” can perform better than expected.

In 2008, Paul won second place in Nevada while Romney won first with 51 percent of the vote.
