After Rick Perry’s shaky debate performance last night, he reminded voters at CPAC-FL today that “it’s not the slickest candidate or the slickest debater that we need to elect” but the candidate “with the best record and the best vision for this country. He cited President Obama and President Clinton as proof.
“The current candidate of the White House can talk a good game, but he sure doesn’t deliver,” Perry said.

Perry said that voters need to choose candidates who “stick to principals” and “stand their ground.”
Again, Perry stressed to the audience that his record of cutting taxes, cutting spending, lawsuit reform and job creation mattered most.
After citing reports of the government spending money on $16 muffins, Perry cracked, “Makes you want to go into the muffin business, doesn’t it.”
