Baltimore Sun TV critic lambastes Obama

If you want to read a really harsh denunciation of Barack Obama, take a look at the latest column by the Baltimore Sun’s television critic David Zurawik. “The Obama White House has more contempt for the press and less respect for freedom of information and expression than any administration since that of Richard Nixon and [Baltimore County’s own] Spiro Agnew,” he writes.

Case in point: the exclusion of local press from the pool coverage of Obama’s recent San Francisco fundraiser. Then he takes off on Obama for appearing on Jay Leno’s program. “[W]ith all the pain that so many millions of Americans are experiencing these days, it is way past annoying. It’s outrageous for our president to be playing these calculated, dippy, little TV games when so many of us are in such need of real leadership.”

I don’t expect that you’ll see David Zurawik at any of the White House Christmas press parties.
