CBS: Holder agrees to testify on Fast & Furious

Attorney General Eric Holder has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary committee on the Fast and Furious operation, CBS reports.

Under the bungled program run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, agents let guns fall into the hands of Mexican drug lords, and several were found at the scene of the murder of a U.S. border agent.

In his May testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Holder claimed to have only recently learned about the program, but documents have since shown that he had been briefed numerous times last year.

He’ll have a chance to explain himself in the upcoming hearing, scheduled for Dec. 8.
