Attorney General Beau Biden, D-Del., the son of the vice president, call First Lady Michelle Obama “Hillary” twice during an interview today about his father’s gaffes and presidential ambitions.
“This has been a phenomenal convention: Hillary, on the first night; Bill Clinton on the second night; my dad and Barack on the third night; this has been a great [convention],” the younger Biden told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell.

“You mean ‘Michelle’” Mitchell interjected. Biden agreed, saying he was “mixing up” First Ladies. “But Hillary — I mean, Michelle, did an incredible job,” he continued.
Beau Biden dismissed a poll suggesting his father has damaged himself with a recent series of gaffes. “The attacks he gets are from the far right,” the attorney general said. “They wouldn’t be attacking him if he wasn’t landing punches.”
The vice president, his son said, is “the most effective spokesperson for the middle class in this administration and that’s why he’s getting so attacked.”
Beau Biden played coy when asked about the vice president’s 2016 ambitions, saying that his family is focused on this election.
