During his press conference today, President Obama said that he “didn’t know” what was in Rush Limbaugh’s heart, so he wasn’t going to comment on whether the apology to contraception activist Sandra Fluke was sincere.
“All decent folks agree that the remarks that were made don’t have any place in the public discourse,” Obama said.

Obama said that he called Fluke, because he thought about his daughters Sasha and Malia adding that he wanted them to “speak their minds on issues they cared about.”
“I don’t want them attacked or called horrible names because they are being good citizens.” Obama said. “I wanted Sandra to know that I thought her parents should be proud of her.”
