The Democratic Party shifting to Vice President Kamala Harris shows that the party is also falling further into the embrace of racial division and “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
Harris has taken over for President Joe Biden as the party’s (likely) presidential nominee for only just over a week, but the racial division has already kicked into full gear. Last Thursday, Democrats held a “white women for Harris” virtual fundraiser, organized by gun control activist Shannon Watts. The call included Rep. Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX), Senate candidate Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and some celebrities.
