Congressional Democrats have portrayed themselves as arbiters of truth, defenders of morality, paragons of virtue, and every other benign assertion one could fathom in U.S. politics. They regularly decry oppression, suppression, rights violations, and the weaponization of the justice system, among other hyperbole, while remaining conspicuously silent when it involves colleagues or infractions committed by Democrats, when such accusations tend to be more authentic than the Democrats’ vilification of their political opponents. Look no further than the recent revelation that the Biden Department of Justice pressured the FBI to raid then-former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in 2022 without sufficient evidence.
On Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, posted documents on X that revealed crucial information about behind-the-scenes conversations between the FBI and the Department of Justice. Grassley said the FBI didn’t have “probable cause to raid” Mar-a-Lago, but then-President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice “pushed for it anyway.”
“Received shocking new docs 2day from DOJ & FBI showing FBI DID NOT BELIEVE IT HAD PROBABLE CAUSE to raid Pres Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home but Biden DOJ pushed for it anyway,” Grassley posted.
Grassley went on to say that based on the records he received, the decision to go through with the raid on Mar-a-Lago was a “miscarriage of justice.” And it would appear that he is right, showing the nefarious and agenda-driven decision-making that occurred during the Biden administration. For all the whining, moaning, lamenting, and perpetual complaining from Democrats about weaponizing government agencies and institutions, it would appear the Democrats were the original purveyors of it.
Given this shocking revelation, where are the videos from Democrats denouncing illegal orders by the Biden Department of Justice? Where were the warnings from Democrats in 2022 who were in the know about the raid being illegitimate, lacking evidence, and illegal? How come Democrats never warn about the illegal, dangerous, unethical, immoral, or deceitful actions of people when those doing so are Democrats?
Furthermore, why haven’t any Democrats come out to denounce the Biden DOJ or comment about the apparent wrongdoings by former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and former FBI Director Christopher Wray? Why haven’t Democrats condemned the raid after Grassley’s revelations? Why haven’t Democrats offered so much as an apology? Heck, why haven’t Democrats even acknowledged what Grassley discovered?

Why? Because they do not care at all about doing illegal orders, activities, decisions, or anything of questionable morality or ethics. Unlike Republicans, who held former New York Rep. George Santos accountable for unlawful and unethical behavior, Democrats do nothing of the sort. Their brand is performative hysteria. Their niche is hyperbolic outrage. Their platform is predicated on deceit, manipulation, and perpetual grievances. It is not reliant on truth and facts.
An adage suggests, “Accuse your opponent of what you are doing, to create confusion and to inculcate voters against evidence of your own guilt.” It’s a saying often attributed to some of history’s most nefarious characters, such as Karl Marx, Joseph Goebbels, or Rules for Radicals author Saul Alinsky. The original author is not as crucial as the devious message behind it. It’s integral to much of the Democrats’ political strategy today. Their daily attacks on Trump are proof. It’s important to remember this and Grassley’s discovery the next time Democrats, any Democrats, claim a weaponization of the justice system.
