I see liberals refer to voter identification laws as “voter suppression” all the time. I just can’t understand how backward their thinking is here. (Neither can most Americans, or so the polls suggest.) Unless you are commiting mass election fraud by having people vote in the names of others, you have nothing to lose from basic identification requirements.
Everyone has a picture ID. For better or worse, no one can travel by plane, train or car without showing an ID. It’s gotten to the point today where no one can open a bank account, or take a job, buy a house, or rent an apartment without an ID.
If there’s anyone out there who manages to live life without doing any of these things, I’m sure he doesn’t bother to leave his cave and vote anyway. The concern is entirely misplaced, as is Clinton’s hysterical rhetoric.
