Warren is the effective head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau — unofficially, though, because President Obama appointed her to a lower position in order to circumvent the legal requirements of the Dodd-Frank financial reform bill he had just signed. She commands a curious amount of veneration on the Left — see, for example, this rap video in support of her appointment, and this delusional (and ultimately incorrect) op-ed.
Veneration aside, she is no saint.
