The president of Texas A&M University is resigning less than two years after assuming the position for his handling of a viral video in which a student questioned why a teacher was teaching gender ideology in a children’s literature class over the summer.
President Mark Welsh’s resignation will take effect on Friday at 5 p.m., Texas A&M announced late Thursday. Welsh is expected to provide a statement sometime on Friday.
