The national average price for a gallon of regular gas dropped again on Christmas Day to $2.847, according to AAA. 

This marks the fifth consecutive week of falling prices at the pumps and is the lowest national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on a Christmas Day since 2020, when it was $2.22 per gallon during the week of Dec. 21, 2020. In December 2021, the average price for a gallon of gas was $3.307, and every subsequent Christmas was over $3 per gallon.
