Is it too early to be thinking about summer camp? Probably, but when the alternative is filling your thought-bubble with the freezing cold weather cracking Metro rails and generally destroying society, it’s best to focus: SUMMER. And, camp.
Sidwell Friends School is the first big-name out of the gate with Thursday’s LivingSocial deal. At a 53-percent discount, the elite Quaker campus is offering spots at the Sidwell Summer Explorer Programs for rising second-to-eighth-graders.
Granted, as far as deals go, $199 a week is still pricier than your kid’s jaunt in District- and county-run camps, but it’s much cheaper than the typical $425 price for a summer week at Sidwell.
Also, the workshops include topics like “mosaics.” So there’s that.
