At least 40 dead and millions without power as Hurricane Helene ravages Southeast

Hurricane Helene has led to the deaths of at least 40 people, and 4 million are without power across Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina.

The Category 4 hurricane made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend at about 11:10 p.m. Thursday and is the largest ever to hit the region. Flooding has reached as far as Tennessee.
