Republican National Committee Chairwoman Lara Trump lamented that people affected by Hurricane Helene remain “desperate for help.”

Over 200 people are dead, and over 2,000 are reported missing since Hurricane Helene touched ground in Florida and spread to Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. While FEMA claims it has sufficient funds to help those affected by Helene, it is running low on its disaster funds in the middle of hurricane season, according to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
