Greg Steube rejects ‘ridiculous’ accusations of hurricane misinformation

Published October 10, 2024 11:11am ET

Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) denied that his criticisms of the Federal Emergency Management Agency for mismanaging Hurricanes Helene and Milton were misinformed.

More than 200 people are dead, and more than 2,000 are reported missing since Helene touched ground in Florida last month followed by Milton, a Category 3 storm, hitting the state. Meanwhile, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said FEMA will not have the funds to last through hurricane season, which usually ends on Nov. 30. The Biden administration has classified any criticisms about this spending as “misinformation.”
