ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Mine industry stakeholders are meeting in Arlington to discuss an increase in metal and nonmetal mining fatalities.
The U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration says nine workers have been killed on the job this year. There were 22 fatalities in 2013, including nine in the fourth quarter.
