September’s Supplemental Security Income payments, worth up to $967, will go out to recipients in two weeks.

While SSI payments typically go out at the start of every month, September’s payment goes out on Aug. 29, the last Friday before next month, since Sept. 1 is a holiday. If the first day of a month falls on a holiday or weekend, SSI payments will be issued the previous business day.
