President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order aimed at curtailing gender transition procedures for people under the age of 19.

Titled “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation,” the order directs federal agencies to defund and oppose medical interventions Trump called “irreversible and destructive.”
