DeSantis voices support for sending Florida State Guard to Texas

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) expressed he was “willing” to send the Florida State Guard to Texas amid an influx of illegal border crossings.

DeSantis made his support for a bill in the Florida House clear during a press conference Friday. HB 1551 would remove the requirement that the Florida State Guard be deployed exclusively within the state. Florida has previously sent its National Guard to states in need, like California and Texas, but hasn’t deployed them for the sake of immigration yet.
