Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) issued the latest update on his Operation Lone Star effort to secure the border Friday amid Texas’s fight with the Biden administration.

The latest press release highlighted crimes that were prevented thanks to the cooperation of multiple agencies. Since the operation’s beginning in March 2021, officials seized more than 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl, which is roughly 1 million more than reported last week.
