The Washington Examiner’s Byron York reflected on how much the Democratic Party has shifted its stance on illegal immigration, as many members used to view it as unacceptable.
York, the chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner, discussed how then-Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama both spoke out against illegal immigration when they were in the White House, as it used to be a bipartisan political point. However, York argued that things have changed since at least the mid-2000s and again in 2013 when Congress had worked on addressing illegal immigration within the country.
