Federal prosecutors have charged a previously deported illegal immigrant with attempted murder for throwing a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement officers during the riots in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The Department of Homeland Security announced on Wednesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Emiliano Garduno-Galvez on Monday as the suspect in the attempted assault on police during riots.
