The Trump administration has debuted a new government website that aims to highlight the “worst of the worst” illegal immigrants who federal law enforcement has arrested for deportation.
The Department of Homeland Security announced on Monday the launch of a webpage, Worst of the Worst, where it will list approximately 10,000 of the most egregious criminals federal police have taken off the streets since President Donald Trump took office in January.
The website, wow.dhs.gov, is intended to share with the public information on criminal illegal immigrants who have been taken into custody within the United States, oftentimes in sanctuary cities and states that refuse to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“This new Worst of the Worst webpage allows every American to see for themselves the criminal illegal aliens that we are arresting, what crimes they committed, and what communities we removed them from. This is all about transparency and showing results,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.
McLaughlin added that the creation of the website was intended to bypass the media and share directly with the public how the federal government was going after illegal immigrants in the country.
Users can search the website for arrests by state, the country that the arrestee is originally from, and other information, such as crime or name.

The Trump administration has touted more than 500,000 deportations over the past 10 and a half months, though immigrant advocates have claimed most are not people with criminal offenses beyond having been illegally present in the country.
As of August, two-in-three illegal immigrants arrested by the federal government have criminal histories.
Trump previewed in his inaugural address on Jan. 20 that he would “begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came.”

Trump and Vice President JD Vance stated prior to taking office that there were between 500,000 and 1 million criminal illegal immigrants living in the country.
In addition to criminals, the Trump administration said it intended to remove roughly 1.4 million illegal immigrants who had been ordered removed by a federal immigration judge but had not been deported.
